These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and MindReel Labs Inc., a Delaware (USA) corporation, registered office at 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, USA (“Mindreel”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the Mindreel iOS application, the mind-reel.com website, and related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Mindreel turns long-form, publicly available podcasts and videos into short highlights, reels, transcripts, and AI-generated “knowledge cards” and answers, to help you find and understand ideas faster. Mindreel is a discovery and comprehension layer: it links to and plays creators’ original content, and is not a replacement for it.
You can use Mindreel without creating an account. Signing in with Apple is optional and only adds cloud backup of your preferences.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age that applies where you live) to use the Service.
Parts of the Service may be distributed as pre-release software through Apple’s TestFlight. Beta versions are provided for testing, may contain errors, may change or remove features without notice, and your data in a beta build may be reset or lost. Your use of TestFlight is also subject to Apple’s TestFlight terms. If you submit feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it without restriction or compensation.
The podcasts and videos surfaced in Mindreel are created and owned by their respective creators and rights holders. Regarding that content:
Creators: if you own content surfaced in Mindreel and want a transcript, summary, highlight, or your entire catalog corrected or removed, contact us at the address in Section 17 and we will honor your request promptly.
Summaries, highlights, knowledge cards, and “Ask AI” answers are generated by artificial-intelligence systems. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misattributed, and they may not reflect the views of the original creator — or of Mindreel. Always verify important information against the original episode or other primary sources. AI output in the Service is provided for general information only and is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or investment advice.
You may submit questions, prompts, and similar content to the Service. You retain ownership of what you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display it as needed to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for what you submit, and you agree not to submit anything unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or containing someone else’s personal information.

The Service — including the app, website, software, design, branding, and the selection and arrangement of derived features (excluding third-party content and your submissions) — is owned by MindReel Labs Inc. and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules.
We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to notices that comply with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at the contact in Section 17 including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification and location of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the rights holder; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We will remove or disable access to infringing material and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.
The Service depends on third-party platforms and services (for example YouTube, podcast hosting providers, Apple, and Google). We do not control them, are not responsible for their content or conduct, and their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services. Content availability may change if a third-party source changes or removes it.
These Terms are between you and MindReel Labs Inc. only — not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support, or to address any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, or IP claims). In the event the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund any purchase price paid (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on any US government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TRANSCRIPTS, SUMMARIES, OR AI ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINDREEL LABS INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE — INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50) AND (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU; IN THAT CASE OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction — except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court, and nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold under the laws of your country of residence.
You may stop using the Service at any time; deleting the app removes local data, and you can delete any account in-app. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms, and we may modify or discontinue the Service (especially during beta). We may update these Terms from time to time; we will post updates here and revise the “Last updated” date, and material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 6–10 and 13–15) survive.
